Scenarios of i2Availability

High Availability Database Protection

The most typical application scenario of i2Availability is to ensure the high availability of the core database, which is especially suitable for the key transaction systems of financial institutions such as banks and securities, etc. It ensures that Oracle, MySQL and other databases realize zero data loss through real-time data replication, and when the main database fails, the data in the backup database will be available immediately and can automatically take over the business in seconds without any need for manual intervention and data restoration operations.

Cross-Data Centre Disaster Recovery

i2Availability provides a perfect solution for government, healthcare and other industries with high compliance requirements. It supports stable data synchronization in WAN environments, prevents mis-switching through intelligent heartbeat detection and arbitration mechanisms, allows for rapid business recovery even in the event of a server-room level disaster, and supports the safe cutback of incremental data from the disaster recovery center to the main center.

Hybrid Cloud Business Migration & Disaster Recovery

i2Availability perfectly supports business migration and disaster recovery under hybrid cloud architecture, enabling bi-directional data protection between local physical machines, VMware virtualization platforms and public clouds such as AWS, Azure, etc., and significantly reducing cloud transmission costs through intelligent flow control and compression technologies.

Continuity for Critical Applications

i2Availability enables 7×24 uninterrupted service for core applications such as ERP, payment gateway, etc. By automatically pulling up application services through customized scripts and combining with virtual IP drift technology, it ensures that end-users are completely unaware of system switching and minimizes the risk of business interruption.

How Does i2Availability Work?

i2Avaliability provides byte-level real-time data replication and application-level high availability architecture tech, specifically designed to provide 24/7 protection for enterprise business operations. Upon detecting an anomaly, it can switch business systems within seconds, ensuring that front-end business operations remain unaffected throughout the process, and fully achieving the goal of 99.99% high availability.
Real-Time Data Replication Phase
i2Availability continuously monitors and replicates data changes between the production and disaster recovery environments. It captures real-time file system write operations, filters non-essential data, and transmits critical changes in encrypted, compressed form. The system supports resume-from-breakpoint and bandwidth control, prioritizing the sync of critical business data.
Auto-Detection Phase
The i2Avaliability on two servers uses heartbeat lines and rich, optional monitoring logic to detect each other's operating status. The objects checked include server hardware (CPU and peripherals), host networks, host operating systems, and related application statuses.
Automatic-Switching Phase
When the main server is confirmed to have failed, the standby server will take over the subsequent software programs and services in accordance with the pre-set backup operation procedures.
Failback Phase
After the backup server takes over, the IT department can repair the faulty server offline, reconnect it after repair, and switch to the main server manually or automatically.

What Makes i2Availability Standout?

Compared with traditional solutions, i2Avaliability provides high availability support in heterogeneous environments, enabling sequential startup through group switching for different business architectures and supporting common cluster modes. At the same time, i2Avaliability can combine multiple standby servers into a takeover resource pool. When a production server fails, peer servers in the intelligent scheduling pool take over, and the entire resource pool is scalable, configurable, and provides a graphical management interface.

The Key Features of i2Availability

Automated HA Assurance

Prevents mis-switching and brain split through multi-heartbeat line detection (configurable interval/number of times) and node arbitration and disk arbitration mechanisms.
Supports custom scripts for automatic application service startup and shutdown, combined with virtual IP drift to achieve sub-second failover.

Optimized Data Transfer

Supports bandwidth control, resume-enabled transfers, and NodeProxy proxy cross-network transfers based on time/date policies.
Reduces bandwidth usage through multi-threaded parallel processing and multi-level compression, and filters non-critical files to improve efficiency.

Enterprise-Grade Data Security

Data transmission supports AES/SM4 encryption algorithms.
The management system has strong password policies and anti-brute force mechanisms.

Zero-Delay Replication

Byte-level real-time replication technology based on the host file system captures all write operations in the production environment, ensuring RPO approaches zero.
Data on the backup end can be used directly without restoration and supports reverse synchronization to achieve business rollback in seconds.

Unified Operational Management

Based on Web console for graphical monitoring of data replication status and progress, supporting batch deployment of clients and template-based rule creation.
Provides automatic diagnostic tools to detect network/rule anomalies.

Compatibility List for i2Availability
