The Origin of INFORMATION2
When the company was founded, Mr. Junqing Hu, the founder, named it "INFORMATION2" to symbolize the square of information and data. The name embodies the company's commitment to data protection and management, implying a focus on doubling the value of data through redundancy and reliability—just as "squaring" represents exponential growth and security. The abbreviation "i2" (derived from "Information2") further reinforces this concept, combining the phonetic translation "英方" in Chinese to form a brand identity that bridges technical meaning and cultural resonance.
This naming highlights the core mission of information2 company: to create the "square" of data (i.e., backup and replication) to ensure customers' information is always safeguarded, while delivering double value through innovative data replication technologies.
