Employees across the company’s office, R&D and design, and production line teams rely on internal documents every day, often collaborating on the same files across desktop PCs and a growing number of tablet devices used on the shop floor.
As document usage expanded across departments and device types, CRRC Guangdong needed a way to keep these files secure and centrally managed without slowing down daily operations.

Solution
- Deployed a 3-node integrated i2Share cluster with 192TB raw capacity in a three-copy storage mode, giving the company a centralized, resilient repository instead of scattered files across PCs and application attachments
- Enabled online document editing and virus scanning components to support secure day-to-day collaboration directly within the platform
- Configured each i2Share node with independent compute and storage, allowing over one hundred users to work on documents simultaneously without performance bottlenecks
- Built in node-level failover so that if any single node fails, the remaining nodes continue serving users, maintaining business continuity
- Integrated with CRRC’s trusted enterprise authentication system (BIM/BAM) for unified identity authentication, allowing employees to access i2Share without a separate login
