China Mobile Reading Base operates two production and backup data centers in Hangzhou (Sandun and Binjiang), managing a massive content library with over 4 billion TB of data (as of November 2017) and 2 billion files, with more than 10GB of daily data growth. The challenge was to replicate content library files in real time from the Sandun production center to the Binjiang backup center without interrupting live reading services, while also supporting elastic expansion and disaster recovery drills.

Data flow process:

  • Application modifies data at the production center.
