East China Normal University boasts numerous core Web applications and key business system servers. Faced with the potential risk of data loss, the university urgently requires an efficient and reliable solution to ensure data security and business continuity. Specific needs include: high availability for Web systems to ensure stable operation under any circumstances; private cloud backup to achieve cloud storage and real-time access to data; and online hot migration of old systems to ensure smooth migration of existing systems to a new disaster recovery environment without affecting business operations.

• High Availability for Web Systems: By deploying the i2Availability solution, a high-availability configuration for Web systems has been achieved. This solution can automatically detect and respond to system failures, ensuring that in the event of a failure, the system can quickly switch to a standby server, thereby guaranteeing continuous business operation.
• Private Cloud Backup: Utilizing the Information2 private cloud disaster recovery management platform, a dedicated cloud backup environment has been built for East China Normal University. This platform supports multi-tenant management and pay-as-you-go pricing, significantly reducing the hardware and software costs of the disaster recovery center. Meanwhile, through cloud storage, real-time backup and cross-campus access to data are achieved, ensuring data security and convenience.
• Online Hot Migration of Old Systems: The i2Move online system migration solution is adopted to realize real-time migration of relevant server data to the disaster recovery server. This solution is based on byte-level data replication technology, greatly reducing the amount of data transmission and ensuring real-time synchronization of data in environments with narrow bandwidth, long distances, cross-platforms, and massive data. At the same time, the migration process is imperceptible to users, ensuring business continuity.

The implementation of private cloud backup and online hot migration has reduced the hardware and software costs of the disaster recovery center and improved resource utilization efficiency. A flexible and convenient cloud-based disaster recovery construction solution has been provided, meeting the school’s future business expansion and data protection needs.
