Customer Challenges

The company’s business systems operate on China Southern Power Grid’s cloud platform, but high availability (HA) had not been established. With increasing digitization, ensuring business continuity became an urgent priority. Any cloud platform failure could lead to a shutdown of critical business systems, resulting in incalculable losses. The company sought a disaster recovery solution to maintain business continuity by enabling failover from cloud to on-premises systems.

I2 Solution

After evaluating the existing platform and environment, Information2 helped the company establish an on-premises VMware virtualization platform and implemented a one-to-one cloud-to-local disaster recovery solution using high availability software. The steps included:

• Deploying an On-Premises Virtualization Platform: Using existing hardware, software, and network resources, Information2 set up a VMware platform in the customer’s data center.
• Migrating Virtualized Systems: Using Information2’s professional migration tools, nearly 100 virtualized systems were safely and efficiently migrated to the local platform, ensuring consistency between cloud and on-premises environments.
• Disaster Recovery and High Availability Management: After deployment, data consistency checks ensured synchronization between cloud and on-premises systems. High availability policies were configured to enable one-to-one disaster recovery failover.

By implementing Information2’s migration and high availability solution, the company successfully reused existing data center infrastructure to build a multi-layered protection mechanism for its core business systems.
