Highlights: What We Accomplished in the First Half of 2025

Time flies, and 2025 is already halfway through. Looking back at the first half of the year, we have made steady and meaningful progress. Every breakthrough and achievement reflects our hard work and confidence. Technological innovation, industry recognition, and customer support continue to be our driving forces. Here are some of the key things we’ve accomplished in the first half of the year: Innovation in Domestic Substitution and Backup Across Multiple Scenarios In the first half of the year, Information2 launched the major new product—i2Backup V9—ushering in a comprehensive upgrade in data protection. We achieved breakthroughs in four core dimensions: reliability, intelligence, simplicity, and scalability. The product not only improved backup and recovery efficiency but also enabled the successful domestic replacement of overseas backup systems for institutions like Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, supporting autonomous data security in the financial sector.

In addition, dozens of breakthrough feature updates and iterations were released across the full product line. Notably, i2Share-AI brought a new intelligent office experience to enterprises, supporting CMDB integration, secure download approval, and AI Q&A functionality in the mobile app to improve productivity. i2DRM introduced platform-level data backup capability, and Alibaba Cloud DTS integration enhanced data synchronization flexibility. Diverse sync chains in i2Stream and i2Active now cover databases such as DB2, MySQL, TiDB, and PostgreSQL, improving data transmission and monitoring to drive efficient digital transformation for enterprises. In domestic substitution and data protection, we launched a range of innovative solutions:

VM domestic migration: Hot migration of full machines via i2Move, enabling non-stop migration to domestic platforms and ensuring business continuity.
NBU replacement: i2Backup is highly compatible with NBU, supporting complete migration with consistent data and recovery assurance.
DeepSeek appliance backup: Provides efficient backup and protection for AI large models, ensuring compression, deduplication, and recovery efficiency.

We also launched robust, reliable solutions for ransomware protection and heterogeneous database migration. New Hong Kong Office Opens, Accelerating Global Expansion In the first half of the year, Information2 officially opened a new office in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong. This strategic move marks a firm step toward the Greater Bay Area and the global market. Hong Kong will serve as a key bridgehead for our international expansion, taking China’s homegrown technology to the world.

At the “Welcome Reception for International and Mainland Enterprises Establishing in Hong Kong” hosted by InvestHK, Information2’s Chairman and CEO, Hu Junqing, was interviewed by the Hong Kong Government News Agency. He shared how the Hong Kong subsidiary is driving our international strategy and strengthening collaboration across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

Our solutions were widely applied and delivered solid outcomes—from the National Earthquake Data Disaster Recovery Center, to CRRC’s i2Share document sharing platform, to the digital transformation of Songjiang District Hospital in Shanghai. We also ranked No.1 among China’s professional disaster recovery software vendors in IDC rankings for the 10th consecutive time, with a 12.5% market share. These honors affirm our technical strength and inspire us to continue innovating and progressing steadily. Strategic Partnerships Creating Market Opportunities We believe that ecosystem cooperation is key to driving innovation. This year, we partnered with Yunzhou Technology, HKBN, and other domestic and international partners to form technology alliances and co-develop solutions that bring value to the market. We also advanced ecosystem compatibility certifications with domestic vendors including Kylin, UnionTech, Dameng, GBase, and Kingbase. Additionally, we co-hosted channel salons nationwide (Beijing, Shanghai, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shenzhen, etc.), sharing the latest insights in data security, disaster recovery, and cross-platform migration.

Talent Development Accelerates Industry Growth At Information2, we believe that technological progress stems from talent accumulation. In the first half of the year, we hosted two engineer certification training sessions, helping hundreds of technical professionals enhance their data management skills. We also released dozens of episodes in the “Data Kaleidoscope” video series, simplifying complex data protection topics to promote technical awareness and application across the industry. Keynote Speeches Driving Advanced Tech Exchange We were invited to speak at major events including the Huawei Developer Conference and World Intellectual Property Day. We shared innovation and real-world practice at the Huawei China Partner Conference, Alibaba Cloud PolarDB Developer Conference, and North China Hospital Information Network Conference—discussing the future of data security and intelligent transformation with industry peers.

White Paper Release: China Data Replication & Disaster Recovery Our work not only drives technical breakthroughs—it also shapes the industry. In 2025, we collaborated with the Beijing Information Disaster Recovery Technology Industry Alliance and East China Normal University’s Yangtze River Delta Fintech Research Institute to release the “China Data Replication and Disaster Recovery White Paper,” providing a comprehensive technical framework and development roadmap. This reflects both our deep technical insight and our commitment to industry responsibility.

Setting Standards: Driving Industry Norms Forward We know that standardization is critical to healthy industry growth. In the first half of 2025, the group standard “Data Migration Requirements for Distributed Database Technology in Financial Applications,” co-authored by Information2, was officially released—offering authoritative guidance for financial industry technology. Advancements in technology, industry recognition, and market expansion point to a future filled with even more potential.
