The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University
Country: China
Industry: Healthcare
Solution: i2CDP
By deeply integrating advanced technology with customer needs, Information2 has tailor-made a high-level disaster recovery system for The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. This not only ensures the data security and business continuity of its core business systems but also lays a solid foundation for the hospital’s long-term development.
Customer Challenges
Facing the increasing volume of medical data and escalating demands for business continuity, the hospital urgently needs to implement real-time disaster recovery and backup protection through third-party software to enhance the resilience of its important information systems against disasters and major accidents, reduce losses caused by disasters or major accidents, ensure data security, and minimize business interruptions and economic losses due to data loss.
I2 Solution
- Local Hyper-Converged Construction of Disaster Recovery Center: Without altering the hospital’s existing business architecture, Information2 utilized local hyper-converged technology to virtualize virtual machines and construct a disaster recovery center. This provided the hospital with an operating environment independent of the production center, ensuring the reliability and independence of the disaster recovery center.
- Real-Time Disaster Recovery and Backup:Information2 deployed its replicating solution on both the source and backup ends. By real-time analysis of production-end logs, it achieved second-level incremental data synchronization. In case of a failure in the production center, the one-click takeover function can quickly switch business to the backup end, ensuring business continuity. Meanwhile, after the Oracle RAC cluster in the production center is repaired, Information2’s solution also offers reverse synchronization to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Cloud-Based Disaster Recovery Protection: To prevent data loss from disasters at the data center, Information2 deployed its i2CDP products, backing up data to Unicom Cloud via hyper-converged technology. This not only achieved offsite data backup but also further enhanced the hospital’s data security protection capabilities.
Solution Effects
Additionally, the establishment of this disaster recovery system has laid a solid foundation for the continuous development of the hospital’s information construction. With one layout, the hospital has achieved long-term development planning, providing strong support for future business expansion and data growth.
