Due to the special nature of its content storage and transmission, the Press relied on a large number of distributed hosts, which made data management more complex and increased risk exposure. • Implemented a host-based real-time data replication disaster recovery solution using i2Box appliances.
• Built a mirrored DR server environment, with i2Box serving as the DR site.
• Application-level protection — i2Availability monitored core business systems (1–6). In case of outage at the production center, workloads could automatically or manually failover within seconds to the DR site.
• Data-level protection — i2CDP captured I/O log changes in real time and transmitted them to another i2Box, enabling rollback to any point in time with microsecond-level granularity.
• Unified DR management — A DR control machine provided centralized configuration, monitoring, traffic tracking, and recovery via a web interface.
