Overview

China Merchants Securities
Country: China
Industry: Financial Services / Securities
Solution: i2Stream Heterogeneous Real-Time Data Replication Platform

With the continuous expansion of Xinchuang (domestic IT ecosystem) adoption, China Merchants Securities has gradually migrated its centralized trading systems to a heterogeneous database environment. To support real-time business data replication, data sharing, and data collection across multiple systems, the company required a high-performance, highly reliable replication platform capable of synchronizing heterogeneous databases while consolidating multiple source tables into a single downstream data table. The solution also needed to support complex DDL scenarios, automated consistency checks, and multi-site deployment across the Nanshan Weixin Data Center and the Wuhan Information Center.

Customer Challenge

  • Heterogeneous database replication: Existing tools could not support Xinchuang databases and heterogeneous environments.
  • Complex consolidation requirements: Required multi-table to single-table replication for centralized trading systems.
  • DDL control and frequency detection: Needed to safely handle high-frequency DDL and special operations such as TRUNCATE.
  • Multi-platform support: Required replication among Oracle, OceanBase, GaussDB, MySQL, SQL Server, Kafka, Hive, and GoldenDB.
  • Multi-site synchronization: Needed a unified solution for both the Nanshan data center and Wuhan information center.
  • High availability requirements: Eliminating single points of failure and ensuring continuous replication.

I2 Solution

i2Stream Heterogeneous Real-Time Replication

Phase 1 – Centralized Trading 6-to-1 Consolidation

  • Deployed i2Stream to replicate core trading data from six source tables into a single downstream management table in real time.
  • Enabled data synchronization for business reporting and operational analytics.
  • Implemented DML link splitting to prevent uncontrolled table operations caused by shared DDL execution.

Phase 2 – Multi-Platform Expansion

  • Extended replication to GaussDB, MySQL, SQL Server, Kafka, and Hive.
  • Supported both data synchronization and data collection across data center and information center environments.

Unified Architecture Design

  • Agentless deployment: No agents installed on production systems.
  • DDL frequency and TRUNCATE detection: Intelligent recognition and safe handling of high-risk operations.
  • Automated data consistency comparison across heterogeneous databases.
  • Cluster-based active/standby architecture: Eliminates single points of failure and ensures high availability.

Solution Effects

  • Solved Xinchuang replication limitations by supporting a full heterogeneous database ecosystem.
  • Delivered high-performance multi-table to single-table real-time replication for centralized trading systems.
  • Eliminated single points of failure through clustered HA architecture.
  • Established a unified data consistency validation and governance mechanism.
  • Enabled centralized data synchronization and data collection for both data center and information center environments.
